WHAT IS VITAMIN C?

What is it?
Vitamin C, also known as L-Ascorbic acid, is a powerful topical antioxidant.
Forms of vitamin C include:
L-Ascorbic Acid
Palmitate of Ascorbyl
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate
Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate
Although it is best known for its lightening effects, it has many other benefits for the skin.
The Properties
It is involved in the formation of collagen and intercepts free radicals that can damage your skin cells, rendering them harmless by means of an antioxidant effect.
Vitamin Calso inhibits the activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and thus is often used in the treatment of skin disorders such as theacne volgare and the rosacea.
It has also been shown to promote wound healing and prevent post-inflammatory pigmentation.
